Rules and Regulations

General Rules

-No food or glass containers allowed
-Patrons must shower before entering the pool
-No running on pool deck
-No pets allowed in pool area
-No diving in shallow water
-Do not spit, spout water or blow nose in water
-Street shoes are not allowed on the deck
-Maximum number of swimmers is 94
-Appropriate swimwear must be worn in the pool-Please no cotton t-shirts
-Patrons with open sores or rashes should not enter pool
-No abusive or profane language will be tolerated
-No pushing, wrestling, dunking or rough actions causing undue disturbance will be tolerated in or about the pool
-Improper use of recreational equipment will not be tolerated
-Flotation devices, toys and balls are allowed in the pool area during appropriate times
-First Aid and emergency equipment is for use by authorized personnel only
-Patrons should exit pool immediately when directed by lifeguards
-Instructions by the lifeguards must be obeyed at all time

Rules for Children

-Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
-Children should not use the swimming pool without adult supervision
-Children are allowed at recreational swim times throughout the week
-Children who are not potty trained must be in a “swimmy” diaper or a plastic diaper
-Birthday Parties and other reservations may be made through Campus Recreation

Diving Board Rules

-Area in front and surrounding the boards is restricted to diving and can only be used when boards are in use
-Jump or dive forward from the board
-Exit water immediately using the closest ladder
-One person on a diving board or ladder at a time
-Divers must wait on deck until previous diver reaches ladder
-Only one (1) bounce is allowed per dive
-Adjustment of diving board fulcrum is prohibited unless participating in a supervised diving program
-Safe diving practices are required
-Cartwheels, handstands and seat drops are prohibited
